Join Miss World
give her more opportunity to do something. Social work, great experience, meet
with girls from around the world, and enjoyed our wonderful Indonesia. What her
opinion about Miss World, Julia Morley, Indonesia, and her plan in future? This
is our full interview.
Hello Camille, it’s
our first interview, what your activity right now?
Hi
there, firstly, thank you for requesting this interview. This year will be very
busy as I continue my reign as Miss World Canada 2013. Currently, I am
preparing to attend The Martin Luther King Jr. Event in Toronto, Ontario,
Canada followed by the 2014 “Show of Hearts” Telethon for Variety – The
Children’s Charity in British Columbia, Canada.
For you, what thing
most remember or can’t forget from Miss World 2013 in Indonesia?
The
one thing I will never forget about Miss World 2013 in Indonesia was the warmth
of the Indonesian people. Everywhere we went we were welcomed with open arms,
served delicious food, treated to world class performances and greeted with a
smile. The hospitality of Indonesian people to Miss World and all the
contestants is something I will never forget.
How do you feel can
joined a prestigious competition like Miss World?
Joining
Miss World has opened many doors and opportunities to meet new people and work
with organizations around the world. Additionally, the Miss World and Miss
World Canada’s Mandate of ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ has been an incredible
experience, one which has allowed me to expand my Humanitarian and
philanthropic work across Canada!
Do you personally know
Vania Larissa? What your opinion about her?
I
had the opportunity to meet Vania Larissa at the 2013 Miss World Final. Vania
Larissa is a beautiful and talented young woman. She represented her Country
with grace and commanded the attention of the audience each time she took the
stage. I believe Vania will do great things for Indonesia as she continues her
lifelong journey.
Would you like to
tell us, what do you bring souvenir or something from Indonesia and you still
save until now? What is that?
A
souvenir that I brought with me from Indonesia was the fan we used in the
Opening Ceremony Fan Dance. There were 16 contestants chosen to perform this
dance and I was honored to be one of the performers. Please see below for a
link to this performance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KiCdZFozltI
Do you want to visit
Indonesia again? What will you do, if that occasion came?
I
would love to visit Indonesia again! I would definitely visit Bali again but I
would also visit the islands of Komodo, Java and Sumatra. I would love to see
more of the eco-diversity of Indonesia and also to experience more of the
culture of such a great Country!
Miss World identically
with social work, so what social project you did after compete in Miss World
2013?
I
have been engaged with The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Ride for a
Cure here in Canada, and I am currently looking forward to attending the “Show
of Hearts” Annual Telethon for Variety – The Children’s Charity in Vancouver,
British Columbia, Canada and the Regina Symphony Orchestra Oscar night in
Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. In addition to these highlights of the next few
months, I am also currently working on Social Work projects for Cystic Fibrosis
Research and many more. There is always work to be done to help improve the
lives of those in my Country and around the World and I am excited for what
this year has to bring!
What your opinion
about Julia Morley?
Julia
Morley is the epitome of ‘Beauty with a Purpose’. She has dedicated her life to
helping children around the world. She has become a role model for young women
around the globe and it was my honor to know her and work with her as Miss
World Canada 2013. Mrs. Morley has created a great Legacy of many years of
humanitarian work and continues to demonstrate her compassion for children all
over the world.
What you’re plan for
future?
In
the future I plan to continue my education by pursuing a law degree and working
with Canada’s National Police Force, The Royal Canadian Mounted Police. In
addition I plan to continue to pursue my passion for dance, acting and
modelling as well as continuing my humanitarian work. I believe that by
continuing to be a positive role model for our youth, I am leaving the best
possible Legacy for the next generation.
